Description
This is a replacement Thermocouple suitable for use with our Large Hog Roast Oven, Mini Spit Roast, Gas/Charcoal Combi and Griddle (2019 models onwards).
The Thermocouple is a safety feature on our Ovens that detects if there is enough gas coming through the gas valve. The two most common issues with the Thermocouple are that it can move when cleaning the machine or during the first cooking process. If it moves too far out of the flame this safety feature will assume the burner has gone out and shut down the gas valve. To resolve this simply re-position the Thermocouple by altering its position on the brass thread so it is nearer the flame. The Thermocouple can be easily mistaken with the Spark Igniter, the best way to differentiate between the two is the Spark Igniter has a white stem, the Thermocouple is brass in colour. Both can be found under the protective cover at the same end of the control panel, inside the Large Hog Roast, Mini Spit Roast and Gas/Charcoal Combi Ovens. To gain access to them on the Griddle you will need to take off the cooking plate.
Please see the other image to show exactly where this component is located on the Large Hog Roast Oven (shown in red).
